Make a single before-and-after image

A before-and-after picture is one of the most convincing ways to show change: a cleanup, a renovation, an edit, a fitness journey, a restoration or a product result. Instead of posting two separate photos that people have to mentally line up, this before & after maker combines them into one clear comparison image. You upload the before shot and the after shot, choose how they sit together, and download a single PNG that reads instantly in a feed, a slide or a message.

This tool produces a static comparison, not an interactive drag slider. That is on purpose: a flat image works everywhere — chat apps, marketplaces, print, presentations and platforms that strip out scripts — while an interactive slider only works on a web page that supports it. The composition is drawn entirely on the client side with the Canvas API, so both images stay on your device and nothing is uploaded.

Side-by-side or split layouts

The side-by-side layout places the two images next to each other at equal width, which keeps both photos fully visible and is ideal when the whole frame matters. The split layout shows the left half of the before image joined to the right half of the after image, which works well when the two photos share the same framing and you want a seamless "one picture, two states" effect. A divider line marks the boundary so viewers immediately understand where before ends and after begins, and you can pick its color to suit light or dark images.

Labels and private PNG export

Optional Before and After labels remove any ambiguity about which side is which, printed in clean badges over each image. You can turn the labels and the divider on or off independently to match the look you want. When you are happy, export a PNG that keeps the divider and text crisp. Because every step happens locally in your browser, you can swap images, switch layouts and retry as many times as you like without an account, a watermark or an upload queue.

Frequently asked questions

Is this an interactive drag slider?
No. This tool composes a single static before/after image you can download and post anywhere. It does not export an interactive web slider.
Are my images uploaded anywhere?
No. Both images are decoded and drawn onto a canvas in your browser. Nothing is sent to a server — the combined picture is built locally.
Can I add Before and After labels?
Yes. Turn the labels on to print Before on the first image and After on the second, and toggle the divider line between them.
What format downloads?
The combined comparison downloads as a PNG so the divider and labels stay crisp.
